Training and Capacity Building
Selected candidates undergo a rigorous, multidisciplinary foundation course at the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun. The training curriculum includes wildlife forensics, ballistics fundamentals, tracking methodologies, avian pathology, cyber-evidence handling, and operational understanding of the Indian Penal Code and the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
IPCD also conducts continuous mid-career capacity-building programs to ensure personnel remain updated on global wildlife protection technologies, intelligence tools, digital surveillance methods, and modern field conservation practices.
How to Prepare for IPCD Recruitment
